Jets' Brandon Marshall isn't excited to face Joe Haden
When the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns take the field in Week 1, Brandon Marshall will be matched up against Joe Haden on the outside. Both Marshall and Haden are among the best at their respective positions, which makes this battle one that should be closely watched.
While fans may be looking forward to the matchup, Marshall doesn't share the same feelings.
"Man, I never look forward to going against Joe," Marshall said via Dom Cosentino of NJ.com. "He's one of the most competitive guys out there. He's hyper-competitive, he works hard, and he always in the right place."
Marshall figures to be one of Fitzpatrick's favorite targets on Sunday and throughout the season, with Week 1 being the duo's first true test.
It won't be easy to get Marshall the ball given Haden's success as a shutdown corner, but it's important for Fitzpatrick and the Jets to get their No. 1 wideout involved. The passing game will likely rely heavily on Marshall's ability to get open and make plays.
