Jaguars exercise 1-year, $3.5M option on TE Marcedes Lewis
The 33-year-old Lewis is the longest-tenured player on the team's roster. He is due to make $3.5 million in 2018.
A first-round draft pick in 2006, Lewis has 375 receptions and 4,502 yards in 156 starts. He ranks third in team history in catches and yards. He ranks second in touchdown receptions (33), trailing only Jimmy Smith (67).
Lewis and retired center Brad Meester (2000-13) are the only players in franchise history to appear in 12 or more seasons with the team.
Shatley has played in 46 games with eight starts since joining Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Wells has played in 32 games with three starts during his four-year stint with the Jags.
