Broncos' Sanders says Patriots shouldn't be Super Bowl champions
Denver Broncos wideout Emmanuel Sanders is not mincing words regarding how he feels about Deflategate.
Speaking to a group of kids at a football camp in Denver, Sanders said he believes the New England Patriots are not the real Super Bowl champions after they were accused of altering the air pressure of footballs during the AFC Championship Game.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm kind of mad. I don't think that they [New England] should be the Super Bowl champion this year," Sanders said, according to NBC 9News.
Sanders went on to tell the kids about the virtue of fair play and hard work.
"You aren't supposed to cheat," Sanders said. "Cheating is not good, especially when you've got guys who are working their butts off for 365 days out of the year and one person cheats -- whether it helps them win the Super Bowl or not, they still cheated and shouldn't be a champion."
The Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX.
