Bills coach Rex Ryan wants to unleash Reggie Bush 'like that Ferrari'

The Buffalo Bills have had some trouble with their running backs this season. Karlos Williams has been suspended for the first four games, and LeSean McCoy was involved in a brawl at a nightclub back in February.

In turn, the Bills signed Reggie Bush to a one-year deal, hoping to add depth to the group. Bush is coming off of a knee injury that ended his season after he slipped on concrete surrounding the Edward Jones Dome field, so he'll need to take it slow at first.

But when he's fully healthy, Rex Ryan envisions him as a real weapon.

"First off, with Reggie Bush, he's such a talent, but we want him to be almost like that Ferrari that we unleash and let people be like,'Oh man, he's out there!' But I also don't want to run him into the ground," Ryan said on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football."

Bush has never received more than 227 carries in a season, and he obviously won't reach that this year with McCoy as the lead back. But the Bills still have to be extremely careful with his health.

The 31-year-old has played just 16 games in the past two seasons and has only played all 16 twice in his career. He can certainly be a valued addition to the offense and special teams, though, assuming he stays healthy.
