Watch a young Stephen Curry star in Burger King ad with his dad

Long before Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was perhaps the most marketable athlete on the planet, he was getting reps in front of the camera alongside his dad.

On Monday, a Burger King commercial from the 90s starring Dell Curry and a young Steph was uncovered, back when Steph was simply known as "son." 

The foretelling ad features Steph asking Dell about how he got so tall and what it takes to become a great basketball player like him, with Dell suggesting that you have to be "hungry" for greatness, a.k.a. eating at Burger King.

Twenty-plus years later, Stephen Curry has skyrocketed past his father into rarified air. He's the reigning MVP and the favorite once again, a defending champion and the favorite yet again, and he's arguably the biggest thing in sports right now. 

Looks like Dell's advice -- and maybe a Whopper or two -- really helped.
