Indiana Pacers center Ian Mahinmi left Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Pistons in the first quarter with a sore lower back and did not return.
Though the Pacers earned their first win of the season, defeating the Pistons 94-82, they were dominated inside by Pistons center Andre Drummond, who finished with 25 points and a career-high 29 rebounds.
Mahinmi was averaging 9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks heading into Tuesday's matchup. It is unclear if he will miss any games yet. As the team's primary big man and rim protector, the 1-3 Pacers could struggle considerably if Mahinmi misses significant time.
