New York basketball stars reach out to David Letterman on Twitter

As we all know, Wednesday night gave us the final David Letterman show ever, before the talk show host would fade off into television oblivion. It was a big deal for those who grew up watching Letterman, a man who's touched so many different generations.

All the fans came out to play Wednesday, and that includes some notable New York basketball stars, who reached out via Twitter to show their support.

We're sure to see Letterman around at some point again. He's not just going to go away. He can't. Don't do that to us, David. Don't.

(H/t to True Jersey for the find.)
