Nets rookie's favorite 'Star Wars' character is 'E.T.' ... wait, what?

Nets rookie wing Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has a funny answer for everything. Apparently, that's true even when he's not trying to be funny.

Monday evening, the Nets held "Star Wars" night, which the team actually did quite well. It played a lightsaber noise every time Brook Lopez, a noted "Star Wars" fanatic, scored. It gave away Lopez bobblehead dolls with the center as a Jedi. It also ran a segment on the big board asking many of the team's players relevant "Star Wars" questions.

Hollis-Jefferson was one of those players. Let's go out on the limb and say he's never seen "Star Wars" . . .

From Tom Lorenzo of NetsDaily:

Now, people can #WellActually this by pointing out that "E.T." was technically in "Star Wars". Of course, that would be the most contrarian response possible. Obviously, RHJ had no clue if "E.T." was or wasn't a "Star Wars" character. He just thought "Space, stars, aliens, 'E.T.' " and blurted out the answer, taking it back among his laughter after.

That kid's hilarious. Let him be hilarious.
