Laser, schmaser: Kenny Smith once got flashed (yup, she was naked)
Houston Rockets guard James Harden was not amused when a fan on Monday flashed a laser pointer at him while attempting a free throw. The incident even reportedly earned the spectator a one-year ban from all NBA arenas.
As you can imagine, Harden was not please at the time:
Former Rockets guard Kenny Smith says he was also once flashed by a fan while at the charity stripe, but it wasn’t a laser that was flashed at him. And the incident hardly had him outraged.
Smith, who played his college ball at the University of North Carolina in the mid-1980s, told TMZ that during one of his college games a female fan hoping to distract him at the charity stripe disrobed.
“Girl comes up, it’s a one-point game, girl comes up in a trench coat and flashes me right in front of me,” “The Jet” happily recalls to the cameraman who caught up with him at LAX.
The funniest part of Smith’s story is explaining how he didn’t even notice the girl until the next day, when he and the entire team were watching film.
Smith provides more details, and breaks down the seriousness of the Harden laser issue (“Adam Silver doesn’t play!”) in the video below:
We’re sure that was quite a discovery.
