Fan gets tattoo immortalizing Michael Jordan's 1988 free throw line dunk
When Michael Jordan took off from the free throw line at the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, he sent fans into a frenzy. The dunk scored him a perfect 50, winning the competition by two over Dominique Wilkins -- his second consecutive victory at the dunk contest.
There is one particular photo of the dunk that is etched in basketball history, with Jordan flying through the air in his Air Jordan 3's. That same picture is now permanently on one fan's arm thanks to world-renowned tattoo artist, Steve Butcher.
The amount of detail and accuracy in the tattoo is absolutely stunning. It's hard to believe that's ink on someone's body and not a black-and-white photo from that day in 1988.
This isn't the first sports tattoo Butcher has executed to perfection, either. He's also done an incredible one of James Harden, Kobe Bryant and Dennis Rodman, to name a few.
