The always fantastic and legendary reporter Craig Sager was on the sidelines for his first ever NBA Finals game on Thursday night. And while the game was spectacular with the Cavaliers coming out on top to force a Game 7, what happened before tip-off was equally great.

Sager, who is currently battling cancer, FaceTimed Pittsburgh running back James Conner, who is a cancer survivor. Conner shared a screenshot of the chat they had prior to the game.

Additionally, full video of their conversation is also available with the two discussing everything from their treatments to weight loss and Sager's golf game.

Conner was recently declared cancer-free as he works his way back towards playing football at a high level once again.
