Roush Fenway Racing inviting fans to remake classic SunnyD commercial

Published Jul. 12, 2016 4:13 p.m. ET

Earlier this year, RFR drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Chris Buescher, along with FOX NASCAR television personalities Andrew Doud and Kaitlyn Vincie, shared their version of the commercial.

Fans are encouraged to be creative with their video submissions, which can range from full remakes of the commercial to short video clips.

"We had a lot of fun remaking the 'Purple Stuff' commercial," said Stenhouse Jr. "Now we are inviting the fans to have a little fun of their own. They can submit their own version and see if they can make it even better. It's going to be a lot of fun for everyone."

The videos can be submitted across any social media channel using the #ShareSunnyD hashtag. Fans can send videos from July 11 until the conclusion of the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 24.

The winner of the contest will receive a variety of SunnyD prizes, and the top video will be re-shared across multiple social platforms.

SunnyD will serve as the primary sponsor of Stenhouse Jr.'s No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for the 23rd running of the Brickyard 400.
