A judge has reportedly ruled that the body of five-time Formula One World Champion Juan Manuel Fangio is to be exhumed on Aug. 7 as part of a paternity case.
Oscar Espinosa claims to be the son of the racing legend, despite the fact that Fangio never married and was thought to have no biological children. Fangio was, however, in a relationship with Espinosa’s mother, Andrea Berruet. Reportedly, in 2013 Espinosa requested that the tests be carried out, and now Judge Rodrigo Castaldo has ordered the exhumation for a DNA test.
Fangio, who passed away at the age of 84 on July 17, 1995, is currently buried in his hometown of Balcarce in Argentina.
