One of the purposes of commercials is to let people know that a certain product is out there.
However, this commercial by Bug Racer Car seems to lead you into believing that this product doesn’t exist, and rather makes you question what was in that chocolate bar you just ate.
Fact is, Bug Racer does exist, and it’s for sale at ToysRUs for only “a normal amount of money,” which turns out to be $34.99.
Mattel’s Bug Racer comes with a cricket habitat that can be inserted into the vehicle. The habitat features a motion sensor and turns the vehicle left or right based on the cricket’s movements.
The Bug Racer features four modes:
Since the cricket will probably crash, the vehicle automatically reverses and resets itself if/when it bumps into anything.
