D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid has undergone season-ending surgery on his right shoulder.
Hamid had a torn labrum repaired Thursday by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala.
Hamid has been bothered by the injury for several weeks. His recovery is expected to take six months.
In May, the 19-year-old Hamid became the youngest goalkeeper to win an MLS game. He was 3-5 this season with one shutout.
