Mets finally considering putting Michael Cuddyer on DL

Michael Cuddyer is pretty banged up right now, as a bone bruise in his leg has caused him to miss six of the Mets' last 15 games and leave three of them early.
Despite the fact that the 36-year-old outfielder has been hurting, the Mets have decided not to put him on the disabled list. However, that could change in the next couple of days, according to FOX Sports' Jon Morosi:
#Mets say it's possible Michael Cuddyer will require DL stay if health does not improve during next 2 days.

With the Mets trailing the first-place Nationals by only three games in the NL East, now would probably be a good time to shelve Cuddyer. Putting him on the DL now would give him time to rest up for the final weeks of the season, when the Mets could be vying for a postseason spot.
