Marlins' Ramirez hit in nose by ball

Published Jun. 15, 2012 1:00 a.m. ET

Miami Marlins third baseman Hanley Ramirez has been scratched from the lineup after a ball hit him in the nose during batting practice in a cage.

Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen replaced Ramirez with Donovan Solano in Friday night's game against Tampa Bay.

''He's kind of dizzy right now,'' Guillen said about two hours before the game. ''He should be ready (for Saturday). The trainers, they think it's nothing big.''

Ramirez is hitting .259 with 11 homers and 37 RBI this season.
