Bryce Harper is paranoid about people selling his batting gloves on eBay
Reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper hit a moonshot home run in the sixth inning of the Washington Nationals' 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, and he had a strange way of celebrating the blast. Harper returned to the dugout where he decided cut up his batting gloves.

Harper was not wearing his batting gloves when he hit the home run, so it seemed like he decided he simply did not need them any more. But why cut them up instead of just throwing them out? Harper explained his reasoning to MLB.com's Jamal Collier after the win.
Via Cut 4:
It is unclear as to why Harper would not want his gloves sold on eBay. After all, it's not as if he has to take part in that. But to each his own, and if cutting up batting gloves is what works for Harper right now, it's probably best to just leave him to that habit.
