CHRIS DOAK fired a stunning four-under 67 over the King's Course at the Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship - just hours after he was chucked out of the Roma Open.
The 32-year-old, two shots behind early leader Craig Lee, was disqualified from the European Challenge Tour event on Wednesday for using an illegal GPS measuring device.
Doak caught a flight back home to make a late dash to Fife and arrived at 1am minus his golf clubs.
He said: "My clubs didn't appear at the airport so I just had to use a spare set that I've never had out of the box. In the end, it turned out not too badly but I was shattered."

Lee reeled off seven birdies in a sizzling 65 to lead by a shot from Scottish Young Pros' champ David Patrick.
