Patrick Witt threw for three touchdowns and Yale defeated Princeton 33-24 on Saturday.

Witt finished with 379 yards on 26 of 33 passes to lead a potent Bulldogs' offense. Yale (5-4, 4-2 Ivy League) put up 500 yards, including 277 on the ground, while holding the Tigers to 326 yards of total offense.

Princeton (1-8, 1-5) brought it within six, 30-24, on Chuck Dibilio's 6-yard touchdown with 9:38 remaining. But, on the ensuing possession, Yale ate up 6:18 and scored on a 27-yard field goal by Philippe Panico.

The Tigers then went three-and-out on their next possession, and Mark Hayes fumbled the ball at the Princeton 41-yard line on their final play with 42 second left.

Jackson Liguori had 123 yards on 10 catches for Yale, which has won eight of the last 10 against Princeton.

Dibilio finished with three touchdowns and 178 yards on 31 carries.
