What the win over the Seminoles means for Louisville Football
Louisville football played their best game of the season this afternoon, blowing out the second ranked team in the country, the Florida State Seminoles, 63-20.
If there was ever any doubt whether Lamar Jackson and the Louisville football team should be taken seriously, that should be over after today. All eyes were on the city of Louisville and their college football team this weekend as ESPN’s College Gameday made their first ever appearance to the Ville’. Louisville took care of business and is well on their way to having an incredible season.
What does this amazing win over the Seminoles mean in terms on rest of the season? Well, it means that the Cardinals just put themselves in a great position to go into Clemson in two weeks and becoming the front-runners for the ACC title. You remember the Tigers right? The defending ACC Champions?
The Tigers destroyed South Carolina State 59-0 earlier today and they are looking like they have woken up from their early season slumber. Now that Florida State is in the rear-view mirror, Louisville’s focus needs to be on beating Marshall and then onto Clemson.
Lamar Jackson now should be seriously considered for the Heisman Trophy after his performance in this game. They actually gave FSU their 3rd worst loss of all-time by scoring 63 points in this blow-out. Jackson finished the game with 362 total yards and five total touchdowns. Not to mention, Louisville football had seven rushing touchdowns on the afternoon.
Expect the Cardinals to be seriously considered for a top five spot in next week’s AP Poll.
