Watch a Texas fumble on the 1-yard line get returned 100 yards for a touchdown
Eight games into the season, and it feels like poor Charlie Strong and Texas football might be snake-bitten. Every time the program takes one step forward, it is immediately followed by two steps back. And at times it feels like everything that can go wrong does for the Longhorns.
We learned that again on Saturday, with Texas visiting Texas Tech on FS1.
Texas was driving for a score (see video above) that would have put it up 20-16 on the Red Raiders. Running back D'Onta Foreman appears to be heading into the end zone, churning his legs for a score ... and all of the sudden, Texas Tech's Douglas Coleman rips the ball out.
He then takes it a full 100 yards for a touchdown score.
After further review, the call on the field stood. Texas was one yard away from going up 20-16 but instead fell behind 23-14. And the worst part is that TD run for Foreman would have capped a 99-yard drive.
Sometimes when it rains it pours, and there's no doubt it's pouring rain on the UT football program right now.
What. Just. Happened.
