Every team does its spring game a little differently, and Virginia Tech's official website released the specific set of rules the Hokies will play by this weekend.
Two long-time season-ticket holders will serve as the honorary team coaches, according to the release. Instead of splitting the team into two even squads, Tech's first-team defense and second-team defense will make up "Team Pylon" and the first-team offense and second-team defense will be called "Team Medal of Honor."
This year's Maroon-Orange game will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m. in front of a crowd to be admitted for free.
