Just over two weeks after details emerged about an alleged sexual assault involving Osa Masina, the USC linebacker has been charged with three felonies in the state of Utah.

According to a report from ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura, Masina’s three felonies include a single count of first-degree rape, along with two counts of forcible sodomy. Bonagura reports that bail has been set at $250,000.

With Masina being jailed, his future on the USC football team is likely gone for good.

After heinous allegations of sexual assault popped up two weeks ago, both Masina and teammate Don Hill have been suspended from games against Alabama and Utah State.

But on Tuesday, USC head coach Clay Helton confirmed that neither Masina or Hill would be allowed to partake in any football activities –including practice– which they had been participating in.

Reports then surfaced from Masina’s attorney, saying the sophomore had been issued a university suspension that banned him from going to classes or using university housing while USC’s Title IX office carries out an investigation.

That’s a similar procedure to what happened to Bryce Dixon in 2015, but Dixon never faced charges from a court of law. Masina does.
