UC Davis rolls to a 52-35 win over Southern Oregon

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) Ben Scott threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns to lead UC Davis to a 52-35 win over Southern Oregon on Saturday night.

Ramon Vargas, who hauled in a 65-yard third quarter touchdown pass from Scott, had six catches for 208 yards, and Manusamoa Luuga finished with 145 yards on 13 carries, including a 90-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a 13-yard TD in the second.

Tied at 21 midway through the second quarter, UC Davis (1-1) took the lead for good on Scott's 25-yard touchdown throw to Keelan Doss. The Aggies also had touchdowns from Joshua Kelley and Ethan Hicks, Matt Blair had a 29-yard field goal, and the defense reeled in four interceptions.

Tanner Trosin was 25 of 51 for 428 yards and three touchdowns for Southern Oregon, which plays in the NAIA. Zack Davis had touchdown catches of 67 and 93 yards.
