Top performers from Clemson's overtime win against NC State
NC State gave Clemson all they could handle this weekend. The Tigers earned a tough 24-17 win in overtime. While the win may not have been pretty, when plays needed to be made several different Tigers stepped up. Lets take a look at the top performers from this past weekend.
Top performers
5. Kendall Joseph: The redshirt sophomore led the team in tackles with 11. Joseph was all over the field this weekend.
4. Deshaun Watson: While Deshuan didn’t have the best game of his career by any means. He was still highly productive, completing 39 of his 52 pass attempts for 378 yards and 2 touchdowns. Watson also added 35 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground.
3. Carlos Watkins: Clemson’s defensive line has played well this year. The Tigers currently rank third in the country in sacks with 25. Much of this production can be attributed to the play of Carlos Watkins. The redshirt senior leads the team in sacks with 4.5. Against NC State Watkins recorded 7 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

2. Mike Williams: Coming off of a broken neck, I wasn’t sure how Mike Williams would perform this season. Neck injuries can be tough to get over mentally. Williams has played like a first round pick thus far. Against NC State Mike Williams logged 12 receptions for 146 yards and 1 touchdown.
Without further ado, the 310 pound jack-of-all-trades.
Christian Wilkins
DL, Clemson Tigers
A+While Christian Wilkins may not have the best statistics out of the players on this list, he impacted the game in all three phases. Christian Wilkins recorded 4 tackles on defense, 1 carry for 10 yards on offense, and a blocked field goal. Had he not blocked that field goal, Clemson could have lost 20-17. Wilkins was Clemson’s 310 pound Jabrill Peppers this weekend.
