Texas State rallies past Southern Arkansas 31-17

Karrington Bush rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown and DaMarcus Griggs caught two TD passes as Texas State rallied to defeat Southern Arkansas 31-17 Saturday night.

Most of Bush's yards came on a 79-yard scoring run in the third quarter that completed the Bobcats' comeback from a 14-point deficit. Tyler Arndt threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns and scored the go-ahead TD for Texas State (1-1) on a 13-yard run early in the third quarter.

Brandon Rashad scored on a 51-yard interception return for the Muleriders (0-2). Austin Civita was limited to 127 passing yards but did connect with Caleb Patterson on a 29-yard TD pass that gave Southern Arkansas a 17-3 lead with 6:32 to play in the second quarter.

Arndt then found DaMarcus Griggs twice for touchdowns before halftime to tie the game at 17-all.
