Strong support: Texas president tweets he's committed to his coach

After whiffing on his second attempted hire of an offensive coordinator Friday, Texas coach Charlie Strong received a vote of confidence from school president Greg Fenves.
Fenves took to his Twitter account account to say that he "fully" supports Strong and is "committed" to helping him move the football program forward.
Earlier on Friday, Tulsa co-offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert joined TCU co-offensive coordinator Sonny Cumbie in turning down a job offer to become Texas' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Cumbie reportedly was offered a contract in the neighborhood of $1 million a year. He reportedly was not comfortable signing a contract because Texas administrators wouldn't tell him if Strong would be the coach beyond 2016.
Strong has also interviewed Cal offensive coordinator Tony Franklin, but with Cumbie and Gilbert turning down offers, it appears that Strong's attempt to fix one of the Big 12's worst offenses, is starting from scratch.
