Freshman running back Roy Finch will miss the Fiesta Bowl for No. 9 Oklahoma with a stress fracture in his left foot.
Coach Bob Stoops said Saturday that Finch should be sidelines for six or seven weeks after having two pins surgically inserted Saturday. That will keep him out of the Jan. 1 bowl game against Connecticut (8-4), but allow him to return in time for spring practice.
Finch missed the first five games of the season with a similar injury. He then rushed for 398 yards and two touchdowns for Oklahoma (11-2) in the final eight games.
He was injured in a non-contact drill during practice Friday.
