Here we give our SEC Football power rankings after nine weeks of games. Auburn football continues to improve each week and remains near the top of our rankings.

There was a lot of shake-up in SEC Football this past weekend with Ole Miss losing again and Tennessee dropping another SEC game.

Short on time this week, so let’s give a quick look at our SEC Football Power Rankings for Week 10.

14 – Missouri – 2-6 (0-4) – Even

Things just keep getting worse for Missouri who dropped a home game to Kentucky this past weekend. If they can somehow win one more game the rest of the way it will be amazing.

Even if they do win one more game, they aren’t coming out of the basement of the SEC any time soon.

13 – Vanderbilt – 4-4 (1-3) – Even

The Commodores were off this past weekend as they rest up for the home stretch. They’ll need it if they’re going to find six wins and make it to a bowl game.

They get Auburn on the road this weekend in what should be a loss, then they’ll need to win two wins amongst Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee. All of those are winnable games for this team.

12 – Mississippi State – 3-5 – 1-3 – Down One

The Bulldogs most likely just got their last win of the season in a shootout against Samford. This is just a sad season for Dan Mullen and his group.

They finish the season against Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss. Good luck finding a win the rest of the way. Time to start looking towards 2017 for Bulldog fans.

11 – South Carolina – 4-4 (2-4) – Up One

As much as I hate to say it, Will Muschamp has done a great job in his first season at South Carolina. After a huge upset win over Tennessee this past weekend he has the Gamecocks in position to make a bowl game.

They have Missouri this weekend in what should be a win, and then they have a Western Carolina in a few weeks in what should be their sixth win.

10 – Georgia – 4-4 (2-4) – Even

The Bulldogs showed a little fight against their rival Florida, but this is still a very bad team. They are not on the verge of not even making a bowl game in Kirby Smart’s first season.

They play Kentucky this weekend and Auburn the following weekend, which will be very important games. They could very easily lose both of those and then they would need to beat UL-Lafayette and Georgia Tech to get to six wins.

9 – Ole Miss – 3-5 (1-4) – Down One

The Rebels continue to be one of the worst, most talented teams in the country after a home loss to Auburn. They’ve now lost three in a row and are in danger of not making a bowl game.

They get Georgia Southern this weekend to get things back on track, and then they have a huge game at Texas A&M where Auburn will be hoping the Rebels pull off the upset.

8 – Kentucky – 5-3 (4-2) – Up One

The Wildcats are one of the most improved teams in the SEC after winning three straight games. With Austin Peay left on the schedule they’re all but guaranteed a bowl game.

They could really establish themselves in the SEC East this weekend with a win over Georgia. They have and outside shot of winning the SEC East if they beat Georgia and Tennessee and Florida losses two more games.

7 – Tennessee – 5-3 (4-2) – Down One

The Volunteers are in a tailspin now after an embarrassing loss to South Carolina. I know they are banged up on defense, but they should have enough depth to beat South Carolina.

They should become bowl eligible this weekend against Tennessee Tech, then they have a chance to win out and reach nine regular season wins.

6 – Arkansas – 5-3 (1-3) – Up One

The Razorbacks have a huge game this weekend against Florida after a bye this past weekend. A win over the Gators could open up the door for SEC East teams to reach Atlanta.

The Razorbacks also need one more win to reach a bowl game. These next two weeks will be very difficult with Florida and LSU, but both games are at home. Then they finish with Mississippi State and Missouri, which should be wins.

5 – Florida – 6-1 (4-1) – Even

Florida currently controls its own destiny for the SEC Championship Game, and possibly the College Football Playoffs. They would have to lose two more SEC games to not make it to Atlanta.

That is very possible with Arkansas, LSU and a resurgent South Carolina still on the schedule. They also have that game with Florida State at the end of the year.

4 – LSU – 5-2 (3-1) – Even

After a bye week, LSU is ready to make a statement as they get ready to take on Alabama this weekend. They’ve been impressive on offense since Les Mile was fired, but we’ll see if they’ll for real this weekend.

Because of Hurricane Matthew, LSU has one of the most difficult schedules to finish the season with Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Texas A&M left to play. I don’t see how they get through that without at least one or two losses, and it’s possible they lose all four.

3 – Auburn – 6-2 (4-1) – Even

The Tigers continue to impress with another big win this past weekend on the road against a talented Ole Miss team.

They are currently bowl eligible and have a chance to improve their stock with winnable games against Vanderbilt, Georgia and Alabama A&M before facing Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

2 – Texas A&M – 7-1 (4-1) – Even

Texas A&M was ranked fourth in the College Football Playoff Rankings, meaning if they win out there is a chance they could get into the College Football Playoffs.

However, winning out could be difficult with Ole Miss and LSU still on the schedule. They do get Mississippi State this weekend in what should be an easy win.

1 – Alabama – 8-0 (5-0) – Even

They’re good, but I think Auburn has a shot and I can’t wait for the Iron Bowl.
