Report: President decided on Miles' fate during halftime of A&M game

According to a report from the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, the decision to keep Les Miles as LSU's head coach came during halftime of the victory over Texas A&M. It was a move made by President F. King Alexander.
Miles had been under considerably scrutiny for a three-game slide towards the later part of the season. Multiple reports indicated Miles' job was hanging in the balance, and that there was a real possibility he could be jettisoned.
However, Alexander made the call to keep the longtime head coach onboard.
"It was a combination of factors and a decision we made collectively. We weighed all the factors in all this and it was a joint decision between many of our board members, our AD, and many of us decided this was the wrong time and wrong place (to replace Miles)," said Alexander.
Since taking the post in 2005, Miles has 111-32. This includes six bowl victories, and a National Title win in 2007.
With Miles entrenched in the position, it should assuage any concerns recruits may have had over the head coach leaving. One would expect an uptick in the recruiting department for the Tigers.
