Report: KC Chiefs safety's cousin slain in Charleston shootings

News of the tragic shooting in Charleston has hit home for former Georgia Bulldog star and current Kansas City Chiefs safety Sanders Commings, as his cousin Reverend Clementa Pinckney was among the victims of the attack on Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

According to the Kansas City Star, head coach Andy Reid gave his condolences regarding the tragedy following Thursday's team practice, saying: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sanders Commings and his family.”

The primary suspect in the shooting, 21-year old Dylann Roof, was apprehended Thursday morning in Shelby, N.C.
