Report: Big change kept Joey Bosa on track for his final OSU season

Joey Bosa's last season at Ohio State did not start the way he would have wanted, and it turns out he decided to make some changes to make sure it did not end poorly, either.
SI.com provided a look into how Bosa dealt with being suspended for the Buckeyes' season opener for an undisclosed violation of team rules:
Bosa says it was his idea to move out of the apartment he shared with Buckeyes tailback Ezekiel Elliott, a close friend who had been his roommate since freshman year. Elliott, though disappointed, understood. There needed to be zero temptations, zero distractions.
"I just thought separating myself—not from Zeke, but just from pretty much everybody in general—and being able to control who goes in and out of my life, I just thought it would be a smart idea to lay low for a while," Bosa says.
So while Bosa continued to wreak havoc for opponents on the field, he spent much of his time alone in an off-campus apartment.
He passed the time mostly by cooking and playing video games -- not the worst life in the world, but also perhaps not what one would expect for the typical college student.
Of course, Bosa was never the typical college student, either.
He arrived on campus with high expectations as a five-star recruit, and he made a near-instant impact when injuries opened up the door to early playing time.
After his second consecutive season being named a consensus All-American, Bosa is preparing to be a high draft pick in the NFL.
If that turns out to be a fairly spartan existence consisting of training and not much else, maybe it won't seem too unusual for the Florida native whose decision to nip the threat of distractions in the bud appears to have paid off, at least professionally.
The whole story is worth a read.
