Raynard, Cohen lead as North Carolina A&T beats Howard 34-7

WASHINGTON (AP) Lamar Raynard threw three touchdowns and Tarik Cohen broke 5,000 career rushing yards as North Carolina A&T remained undefeated in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with a 34-7 win over Howard on Saturday.

Cohen ran for 133 yards and a score for the Aggies (6-1, 4-0), giving him over 5,000 career rushing yards and his fourth-straight 1,000-yard season. Raynard had 191 yards passing.

Cohen ran for a 16-yard score midway through the first quarter and Raynard hit Denzel Keys for another score to make it 14-0 with 7:25 left in the quarter. Cody Jones added two field goals in the second quarter and the Aggies led 20-0 at the break.

Raynard connected with Cohen on a 45-yard scoring pass to extend the Aggies lead to 27-0 early in the third and they cruised to the win.

Jason Collins scored the only touchdown for the Bisons (1-7, 1-4) on a keeper late in the fourth.
