Penn State's Lucas reportedly gearing up for multiple roles

Last year, Jordan Lucas started at cornerback for Penn State. This past spring he played safety. This fall could he play both?

Fight On State reports that is a possibility along with other options for the senior from New Rochelle, N.Y.

Lucas had 58 tackles last season and led the team with nine pass breakups.

He has started 24 of the last 25 Penn State games at cornerback and was a two-time All-Big Ten honorable mention at that position.

The emergence true freshman John Reid is also likely a factor in the coaching staff's comfort in moving Lucas around the secondary. Reid, a four-star prospect from Philadelphia, is not expected to start but has had the look of someone ready to contribute according to FOS.
