Oregon OC Scott Frost on starting QB: 'We haven't really discussed it'
The Oregon Ducks will kick off the season in a short 11 days from now. However, the coaching staff still has no idea who the starting quarterback will be.
"We haven't really discussed it yet as far as quarterbacks go," Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost said, per The Oregonian. "I think both guys that are competing are doing a great job and we have some guys besides them that are doing a great job. I'm impressed with their improvement. I think everybody knows what they're doing."
Both Jeff Lockie and Vernon Adams are likely to play against Eastern Washington on Sept. 5. The bigger decision comes after that game as the Ducks play Michigan State on Sept. 12.
For now though, Frost and the rest of the coaching staff are focused on the game plan and getting all of the finer details in order.
"Now we really just have to detail things and dial in what we're doing," Frost said. "And then it will get a lot easier come game week because because we'll pare it down even more for an individual gameplan."
