Ohio State DC compares, contrasts Buckeyes, Notre Dame (VIDEO)

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State and Notre Dame, two historic Midwest powers built on traditional power offenses, right? 

Not so much. 

The Buckeyes and Fighting Irish both have head coaches who converted to the spread long ago, and they took those offenses to Columbus and South Bend, respectively. 

During Ohio State's bowl media day, defensive coordinator Luke Fickell confirmed the offenses have a lot of similarities but are distinct in certain ways, too.
