Maurice Clarett arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired

Former Ohio State star Maurice Clarett was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired (OVI) as well as a turn signal violation in central Ohio on Sunday.
According to municipal court records, Clarett was pulled over in Morrow County, which is north of Columbus, by highway patrol.
USA Today reports that Clarett was stopped after he allegedly changed lanes illegally. A highway patrol spokeman Lt. Craig Cvetan told the news outlet that he was arrested after refusing to take a blood alcohol test.
“Callers had reported the vehicle was operating recklessly before he was stopped for the turn signal violation,” Cvetan told USA Today.
More details from USA Today:
Clarett starred on Ohio State's 2002 national championship team as a freshman running back. He went to prison after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon in 2006.
Since being released early, Clarett has worked to turn his life around and has seen his career as a public speaker take off.
FOX Sports profiled his work speaking to various colleges, companies and youth groups in April.
