LSU OC Cameron treated for cancer, given 'clean bill of health'
LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron says he has been treated for prostate cancer, but has been given "a clean bill of health" and plans to maintain his regular coaching duties this season.
The 54-year-old Cameron, who spoke about his health after Friday evening's practice, has been the offensive coordinator at LSU for the past two seasons and also spent 14 seasons coaching in the NFL with four teams, including one year as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

In his first year with the Tigers, Cameron oversaw a passing offense that featured 3,000-yard passer Zach Mettenberger, as well as receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, who each eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving.
Cameron says that despite his treatment, he has been involved in training camp and asserts that he is "ready to roll."
Although the Tigers ranked No. 13 in the SEC in point per game last year, LSU is expected to display an improved attack this season. Heisman Trophy contender and running back Leonard Fournette will spearhead an offense also featuring receivers Malachi Dupre and John Diarse.
