LSU, McNeese State to pay tribute to hurricane victims

Last weekend marked the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, one of the most destructive examples of Mother Nature to ever hit the United States.
More than a million people were displaced as a result of the natural disaster (according to The Data Center). It rocked the Gulf Coast to its core, and undoubtedly had a lasting impact on virtually everyone in the region.

In the season opener on Saturday in Tiger Stadium, LSU and McNeese State will don decals on the backs of their helmets to pay honor to those affected by both Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.
It's an incredibly nice gesture by both programs.
