Louisville Football: Which 2 Cards Could Win The Super Bowl This Year?
We take a look at which two Louisville football players are in a good position to make the playoffs and win the Super Bowl this season.
Winning the Super Bowl is on the minds of every single Louisville football player when they enter the National Football League. Making the playoffs is extremely difficult, but winning a championship is even harder. However, there are two guys from UofL that are in solid position to make the big-game this year.
Eli Rogers and William Gay are on a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is getting hot at the right time of the season.
They are currently winning their division and have a great shot of playing at home in the postseason in January. Not to mention, Pittsburgh will have 2-time, Super Bowl winning quarterback Ben Roethlisberger behind center for the rest of this year.
Here is the Steelers’ schedule for the rest of the regular season, according to ESPN:
(8-5) Pittsburgh Steelers at (5-7-1) Cincinnati Bengals
(7-6) Baltimore Ravens at (8-5) Pittsburgh Steelers
(0-13) Cleveland Browns at (8-5) Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have two, very tough games coming up against the Bengals and Ravens. At the same time, I would not be surprised to see Pittsburgh win their last three games and finish at 11-5.
If they can do this, then they will be playing a home football game in January against either the Broncos, Ravens, Dolphins, or Titans.
I like their chances against any one of those teams at home.
They will probably have to go on the road after that game, but having experienced players like Roethlisberger will give William Gay and Eli Rogers a better chance to win the Super Bowl than any other Louisville Cardinal this season.
