Louisville Football vs. N.C. State: Gameday preview and prediction
We take a look at what will happen today in the game between the Louisville football team and the NC State Wolfpack.
It’s finally game-day here in the Ville’ and the Louisville football team is set to take on the NC State Wolfpack in Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. This is a match-up between two very solid ACC schools where NC State is 4-2 and Louisville is 5-1. A win for either school will be huge in terms of conference standings for the rest of the season.

The biggest key to this game today is which team’s strength is going to give against the other team’s strength?
Louisville is currently first in the ACC in rushing yards per game with 305.7 and NC State in also first in the ACC in rushing defense, only allowing 95.3 yards per game. It’s going to be a tough battle in the trenches today, but I think that the Cards will be able to spread the Wolfpack defense out enough to be able to run the ball effectively.

At the same time, NC State’s passing defense is in the bottom half of the ACC in passing yards allowed per game, whereas Louisville is at the top of the conference in passing. Unless the Wolfpack can get unreal pressure on Jackson all game long, I don’t think that they have enough on the back-end to slow Louisville down.
This should be one of the better games of the season, however the Cards will win this one 31-13. Louisville’s defense should have the better game today and limit the Wolfpack in what they are able to do with the football.
If the Cardinals control the line of scrimmage, then they will walk out victorious.
