
Louisville Football: Orange Bowl bid not looking good for the Cardinals
We take a look at the newly released college football playoff rankings and how that will impact the Louisville football team this bowl season.
The 2016 season for the Louisville football team has officially come to a bitter end after the latest college football playoff rankings. Over the course of two weeks, we have gone from talking playoffs to talking about how Louisville is going to miss out on the Orange Bowl.

When the Cardinals lost to Kentucky last weekend, it pretty much sealed the deal that their Orange Bowl fate would end up in the hands of the team they beat by 43 points in September.
Sure enough, the Seminoles beat Florida and have jumped over the Cards in the rankings for the first time since Week 3.
The Cards needed FSU to play well this year in order to have a legit win on their schedule, but now that has come back to haunt all of us, as they will now go to the Orange Bowl instead of Louisville.
The Louisville football team has no one to blame except for themselves. They have turned the football over all season and haven’t been able to overcome their own mistakes and bad tendencies.

We can argue until we are blue in the face about whether it’s on the coaches or the players. However, without a doubt, they controlled their own destiny and threw it all away.
We can only hope they finish the season with a bowl win, get their tenth win of the season, and build a tiny bit of momentum heading into 2017.
