Long runs for 3 TDs, Wofford runs over Johnson C Smith 59-0

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Lorenzo Long ran for 127 yards on 13 carries with three touchdowns and Wofford's defense scored three times as the Terriers dominated Division II member Johnson C Smith 59-0 on Saturday.

Long ended a short first-quarter touchdown drive with a 2-yard plunge. He added a 24-yard scoring carry in the second quarter, then the Terriers used a 10-play, 70-yard drive - capped by David Marvin's 38-yard field goal - to lead 17-0 at intermission.

Wofford piled it on in the second half. In the third quarter, another short drive ended with Long's 16-yard scoring run, Mikel Horton recovered a fumble for a score, and Brad Butler found Chandler Gouger from 13 yards out for another.

In the fourth, Nick Ward picked off Harold Herbin and raced 81 yards for a touchdown. On the ensuing possession, Mason Alstatt returned another pick 54 yards for a score.
