Jones on injured Vols: 'Fully anticipate everyone being ready to go'

Tennessee expects to get a boost this weekend on the injury front, as several injured players are expected to return for the road trip to Missouri Saturday night.

The first question posed to head coach Butch Jones during his Wednesday media session regarded the status of players listed on the injury report. For what seemed like the first time this season, the Volunteer coach was able to give some good news.

“Right now, we fully anticipate everyone being ready to go,” Jones said. “Brett Kendrick was back. He practiced, went through the entire practice. Preston Williams practiced.

“Jauan Jennings was very, very limited. We kept him in the training room a little bit, but we fully anticipate him being ready to go. In terms of health, Jashon Robertson made it through the entire practice.

“So, as of right now, we anticipate everyone playing -- or being available to play.”

Getting back Robertson could be huge for the Vols, as the young offensive line has struggled to hold the point of attack up front against South Carolina and North Texas in his absence. If Robertson can play the entire game without issue, expect Tennessee to benefit greatly from his presence.
