(STATS) - James Madison, ranked 12th in the latest STATS FCS poll, has indefinitely suspended starting nose guard Simeyon Robinson for a "violation of university and team policies."

The redshirt sophomore has keyed a Dukes run defense that has allowed 1.6 yards per carry - fourth-best in the FCS - and 122 total rushing yards in blowout victories over Morehead State and Lehigh. James Madison is the only 2-0 team in the Colonial Athletic Association and will begin conference play Saturday against Albany.

"It is our hope that we can teach and mentor our young men to make the right choices," coach Everett Withers said in a statement, which added that the program would have no further comment on the matter.

Robinson has 2 1/2 tackles for loss and a half-sack in two starts this season after making six starts and four other appearances as a freshman in 2014, collecting six tackles for loss and 2 1/2 sacks.
