Trailing 10-6 midway through the third quarter, James Madison erupted for four touchdowns - two each in the third and fourth quarters - and pulled away from Villanova for a 34-10 victory Saturday in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Jordan Anderson ran for three touchdowns for the Dukes (5-2, 3-1), two in the decisive second half. He scored on a 1-yard plunge in the third quarter when James Madison took the lead for good, and an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter to close the scoring. The Dukes rushed for 253 yards, 19 yards more than Villanova's total offensive output.

Dustin Thomas' 25-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Miles in the second quarter gave the Wildcats (1-6, 0-4) an early lead. But in the second half, James Madison redshirt freshman quarterback Jace Edwards threw the first two touchdown passes of his career, including an 80-yarder to Kerby Long.
