Jacksonville 26, Marist 14
Colby Walden returned a kickoff a school-record 99 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter as Jacksonville came from behind to defeat Marist 26-14 Saturday, extending the nation's longest active home winning streak to 16 games.
Walden's 85-yard return last week lifted the Dolphins over Dayton 21-17 with 1:23 left.
Jacksonville (4-1, 2-0 Pioneer Football League) has won four straight since losing its season opener 58-0 to Georgia Southern.
Walden's return came after Emmanuel Onakoya rushed for a 2-yard touchdown to push the Red Foxes (2-3, 1-1) ahead 14-10 with 12:13 remaining.
After a 16-yard Marist punt gave Jacksonville the ball at its 37, Eric Baker scored on the next play for a 24-14 Dolphins lead with 2:17 left. Red Foxes quarterback Chuckie Looney fumbled in the end zone 11 seconds later for a safety.
Looney had 86 yards passing a week after throwing for 403 in beating Davidson.
