Cal head coach Sonny Dykes seemed to be encouraged by the progress of his injured players after spring practices concluded.
“I feel pretty good about the rehab these guys have gone through and where we they are. Obviously, those are some pretty significant pieces to this puzzle,” Dykes said, according to Jeff Faraudo of Bear Talk. “You can have a pretty good taste in your mouth leaving spring with what we had. But throw those guys in the mix and all of a sudden you feel a lot better about everything.”
In terms of the players that are injured, Dykes said that Stefan McClure, Griffin Piatt and Steven Moore were probably ahead of schedule. Linebacker Nate Broussard and safety Quentin Tartabull are likely right on schedule.
