Grandson of former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr entering hospice care


Sad news hit the Michigan football community Wednesday when the parents of Chad Carr, a 5-year-old whose grandfather is former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, announced via Facebook their decision to enter their son in hospice care.
The young boy was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer in September 2014.
The post reads in part, "We are still praying for a miracle because we know the power of God and it is infinite,, but we are also praying that if it is God's will to take him home, that he not suffer. This is so very hard, but it is also hard watching your baby with such extreme limitations ... we want him to be whole and well."
Per the Detroit Free Press, Chad Carr has already survived past the 9-12-month timeframe laid out in his initial diagnosis.
